Jean-Yves Babonneau, AFNIC's General Manager, and Elisabeth Porteneuve, .TF Policy Director, announced today that the operating structure for Dot TF have been successfully designed and will become operational within next weeks.
Dot TF have been transferred to AFNIC in October 2004. The Ministry of Research assigned the responsibility for the naming policy of .TF to the CNRS. On 22nd December 2004 the CNRS nominated Ms Elisabeth Porteneuve, research engineer at CNRS, in charge of .TF naming policy.
The functioning structure of Dot TF is being designed with 4 major partners: .TF Naming Policy Council leaded by the CNRS, .TF Registry operated by AFNIC, .TF Registrars, and .TF domain name's Holders.
The new registrations .TF stay suspended until such time the operating procedures are being validated. The next communiqué will be published in 15 days.
